I saw these pre-printed blocks on the site of the local quilting shop that I order from occasionally. She also had a really beautiful gold print that will make a lovely accent for a quilt made with these blocks. I have plenty of brown and gold fat quarters in my stash to add star points, or anything else I want.
Shenkin Street in Tel Aviv is known for its many sidewalk cafes, and I have a good friend who has an apartment overlooking two them. He shares his apartment with an Irish Setter, and the rusts and golds in this fabric will go well with his oak-floored and furnished apartment as well as the dog. He (my friend, not the dog) makes a terrific cup of fancy cappuccino, all layered in a tall glass cup. He takes his coffee seriously!
So far so good, here's three rows of framed stars, with sashing and cornerstones. It is going to be a huge quilt.
